R³ Devotional - Day 142

R³ Devotional - Day 142 - Psalm 95

By: Jose Maldonado

Psalm 95 encourages believers to come together to approach God’s presence with joyful worship and thanksgiving. It reminds us that God is the Lord, our rock, our great God, our great King, our Creator of all things and the Shepherd who cares for His people. The latter part of the psalm warns against hardening our hearts, referencing the Israelites' rebellion in the wilderness.

Real Life Principles:
Worship together with Joy – Singing and praising God should be done with enthusiasm and gratitude. Make worshiping God a reason not to do other things.
Recognize God's Sovereignty – He is the great King above all gods, and everything belongs to Him.
Do not lose the “fear of the Lord”
Seek His guidance – A hardened heart leads to spiritual downfall.
Drown out other voices.
Learn from past mistakes – The Israelites' disobedience serves as a warning. Do not test God.
God Loathes.
Seek Rest in God – True peace comes from trusting and obeying Him.

Real Life Applications:
Make praise and thanksgiving a regular part of  your life.
Even in difficult times, acknowledge His control.
Approach God with reverence and a teachable heart.
Stay engaged in your faith and be open to His guidance and be attentive.
Gather with others to strengthen each others faith

Ready Action Steps:
Daily worship and weekly gathering to worship. Put your preferences aside and worship in spirit and truth.
Trust in God’s plan
Stay humble.
Avoid spiritual complacency.
Encourage community worship, call those who have been absent from worship at ABC.
