R³ Devotional - Day 130 Psalm 50

“Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you: Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.” PS 50:22-23 NIV
GOD calls to the world: The Almighty, the Creator of all, calls out to the earth— From sunrise to sunset, His voice echoes. From His holy place, radiant in beauty, He shines forth. He comes, and He won’t stay silent— A fire blazes before Him, a storm swirls around Him. He calls the heavens and the earth to witness His judgment.
GOD calls to His people: “Gather before Me, those who are faithful, Those who have made a covenant with Me. The heavens declare My justice, For I am a God of truth and fairness.”
“Listen, My people, I have something to say. I am your God, and I am speaking to you. I’m not condemning you for your sacrifices— You’ve been offering them regularly. But do you think I need them? I don’t need bulls from your barns or goats from your fields. Every creature belongs to Me— The forests, the mountains, the birds, the insects. If I were hungry, I wouldn’t ask you— The whole world is Mine. Do you think I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? No! What I want is your thankfulness. I want you to keep your promises to Me. Call on Me when you’re in trouble, I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.
“But to those who reject My ways, I say: What right do you have to speak of My laws, When you ignore My teachings? You turn away from My words, You side with thieves and adulterers, Your words are full of lies and deceit. You slander your own family, And think I won’t do anything about it. Because I’ve been silent, you assumed I was like you. But now, I confront you with your actions. Think carefully, you who forget Me, Or you will face consequences with no one to save you. But those who offer genuine gratitude honor Me, And I will show My salvation to those who live rightly.”
Real Life Principles:
God calls creation to witness His judgment. Accountability
Gather to listen to what God desires, and commands. Take Notes
World is His, do not think you doing God a favor will your offerings. He owns everything.
God wants us to have genuine thankfulness. He knows. Sees through us
He wants us to call on Him. He waits on us.
He wants to help us. In anything.
He wants us to listen to his warnings. Especially if you are those that play around with God and His word. Those who forget Him.
GOD is not like us. He can tear us up to pieces.
Relevant Life Application:
Honor Him. Reverence Him. Fear Him.
Real Action Steps:
In Prayer Offer Deep Sincere Gratitude.
